How it all started...
Elder William C. Latta was encouraged to begin a ministry in Columbus, Ohio by the late Apostle Smallwood E. Williams. On September 4, 1960, Bible Way Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ held its inaugural worship service. The service began with two families yet began to grow quickly as the gospel was preached. Evangelism has always been the norm at Bible Way Church and after 62 years it continues to work to bring people into contact with the life-changing word of God.
Expanding the vision...
On December 21, 1980, the current structure was built next to the original church. Since the expansion, we have purchased other properties around the church to make a significant footprint in the Hilltop community. We are committed to being a light on the Hilltop and in the Greater Columbus Area. Our goal is to impact the world for Jesus Christ!
Where we are headed...
Our goal is to evangelize the Hilltop community and the Greater Columbus Ohio Area with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our evangelistic strategy consists of using real world application of the scriptures, creating a loving Christ-centered community, and doing plenty of outreach. John 12:32 says "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me."
